It has been a great experience to be able to help and improve the quality of life of the patients and we are very proud of our collaboration with the National Kidney Foundation.
NKF’s volunteer programme, Circle of Hearts, inspires kidney patients to rise above their adversities so that they can lead a better quality of life. Its various meaningful activities facilitate their healing process and help them cope better with their long-term illness.
These are some examples of activities:
- Organising activities or events for the patients such as festive celebrations, outings, performances, etc on an ad-hoc bases, in hope to bring joy and improve patients’ quality of life.
- Cooking Demonstration – Volunteer to share a dish or two so that the patients will be exposed and enjoy different culture of food. This allow patients and volunteers a time of interaction and bonding.
- Grains of Hope - Delivering basic food provisions (5 kg of rice, 3 kg of rice vermicelli and 2 ltr of cooking oil) to our neediest patients' families and providing emotional and mental support during home visits.
