This is what Pernille, the spearhead of Cycling Without Age in Singapore, has to say:
How did Expatgiving support and contribute to the success of your organisation?
The Expatgiving team have been supportive of Cycling Without Age since the beginning. We have enjoyed talking with them about our non-profit organisation and about our options and direction. When we look for volunteers, they respond quickly and help us post for a variety of positions online. I really like how they follow up to make sure the volunteers don't end up wasting their time. Expatgiving has also advertised on their website for our events and called on their network to help us spread a crowdfunding campaign.
Could you describe the projects we supported successfully in the past months?
Expatgiving has been important to us in raising awareness about Cycling Without Age. Thanks to Expatgiving, we have met new volunteers and we got more likes on Facebook. One major contribution has been our wonderful webmaster, Freddie; who was recruited through Expatgiving.
Which career skills of the volunteers/expats come in play with the volunteer work in your organisation?
In the case of Cycling Without Age, the skills depend on the position we are looking for. We are looking for pilots to ride our trishaw, a business developer and everything in between.
