The role requires the implementation of digital marketing activities which support the Singapore Committee for UN Women’s initiatives to create awareness and fundraise for local campaigns and regional beneficiaries. In addition, the role involves a high degree of public and media relations, art direction and events management.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Engagement
  1. Creation of web marketing initiatives for various email list segments (monthly newsletters, Events Calendar, periodic donor appeals, Membership Bulletin, Shop for a Cause appeals) including campaign design, monitoring, reporting, and analysis
  2. Updation of non-static content on the website (ExCo / staff pages, top news, events, banners) and quarterly review for updating of static content (campaigns, impact, about us, etc)
  3. Promote, actively update and oversee social media to develop momentum for local events and highlight UN Women HQ activities
  4. Develop internal reports for non-technical audiences
  5. Educate staff and serve as internal point of reference to raise digital literacy across organisation
  6. Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices and propose areas for investment and growth in digital advertising

General Communications
  1. Serve as the lead on all copywriting needs both online and offline, including the launch of a new website
  2. Coordinate across departments in the development of integrated communications strategy for advocacy, online/offline fundraisers, branding, and the general work of the organisation
  3. Oversee the creation of all public information content such as Annual Report, informational brochures and leaflets, and display materials such as banners
  4. Manage regular updating of email database
  5. Provide pertinent communications advice and input for organisational leadership

Donor Engagement
  1. Collaborate with the fundraising team on the creation of on boarding strategy of new donors and Members
  2. Create and develop the required marketing material for new donors and members
  3. Draft welcome and retention messages for new Members and donors, in addition to updates on our work, to be sent out periodically

Experience and Core Competencies:
  1. Thorough knowledge and experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and HTML (optional) is a must
  2. 1-3 years of web marketing experience
  3.  Collaborative work style to effectively work on a team of Web and Digital Engagement professionals to deliver high quality digital communications on schedule
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to write press reports and articles for media
  5. Working knowledge of inbound marketing, including search engine optimization, as well as advertising and analytics tools, Google AdWords and Google Analytics
  6. Excellent Microsoft Excel/Word skills
  7. Highly creative and driven imagination. Curious and explorative by nature and be able to think out of the box
  8. Candidate should know how to use or be willing to learn email marketing platforms and design software

Qualifications and Academic Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, international relations, public relations or equivalent
  2. combination of education, experience, and training
  3. Experience working with content producers to optimize for digital distribution
  4. Experience overseeing digital advertising campaigns, including managing plans
  5. Fluency in using data to make decisions
  6. Knowledge and experience with communicating social justice issues for awareness-building, advocacy, and/or fundraising

Position will be commensurate with relevant experience.

Reports to: 
Director, Operations

Job Description:
Assist the Director, Operations with Administration, Secretarial, Office Management and Finance processing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the Director, Operations, she or he will be working in a fast-pace environment and be responsible for (but not limited to):

Cashiering duties (Once a month)
  1. Oversee and take ownership of the accounting process of outgoing payments and incoming funds,
    working with a third party accounting firm
  2. Process Salaries, Staff Claims, CPF Submissions and Income Tax forms
  3. Reconciliation of bank statements and other accounts
  4. Issue cheques for payments, when needed
  5. Bank errands such as completion of forms, obtaining signatures and depositing cheques
  6. File vendor invoices, payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers, incoming transfer advices and cash
    records
  7. Obtain approvals for large expenses
  8. Coordinate with book keeper to issue management reports and ensure correctness
  9. Update the Manpower Costs excel sheet every quarter

Audit (Once a year)
  1. Ensure reconciliation of financials and audit readiness by the end of the fiscal year, including the major fundraisers
  2. Ensure accuracy of revenue tracking reports for the fundraisers

Secretarial (ongoing)
  1. Preparation / coordination of AGM materials, financials, etc.
  2. Obtain signatures from board members for various documents.
  3. File all partnership contracts, vendor contracts, grant agreements and paper trails for audit purposes
    and future reference

Administration (Ongoing)
  1. Issue letters for various purposes e.g. letters of appreciation to volunteers
  2. Membership and Monthly giving administration
  3. Minute taking will be necessary from time to time
  4. Answer and re-direct general email and telephone inquiries to the relevant staff member
  5. Ensure adequate stationery in the office
  6. Check the mailbox and ensure mail is redirected to the correct staff or taken action on by yourself
  7. Ensure equipment in the office is working: telephones, air-con and electrician services, printer toners, handyman and cleaning services
  8. Monitor and process meeting room bookings and to reconcile against invoices
  9. Coordinate trouble shooting for IT issues with IT vendor

Recruitment and Human Resources (ongoing)
  1. Assist in posting staff or intern Job Descriptions for the required positions on multiple platforms
  2. Compile and direct CVs to hiring managers
  3. Assist in scheduling interviews and communication with prospective candidates

Experience and Core Competencies:
  1. 1-3 years of accounting and general administration experience
  2. Thorough knowledge and experience in accounting practices; hands-on experience on any accounting
    software is preferred
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Excellent Microsoft Excel/Word skills

Objectives:

Be responsible for and take ownership of all fundraising activities; acquisition of sponsors for the SNOW (Say No to the Oppression of Women) gala dinner; establish and continue corporate engagement; develop and grow the base for new donors and members while continuing to cultivate relationships with partners, sponsors and donors.

Opportunity:
  1. Create and market Singapore Committee for UN Women as a valuable partner to potential donors and
    partners. Manage these relationships
  2. Work under pressure with responsibility for the success of the events and campaigns
  3. Meet the annual fundraising targets

Skills:
  1. Ability to network and foresee collaborative partnerships
  2. Have the knowledge and appreciation for art, food, wine, luxury travel and hospitality
  3. Multi-task and organize events
  4. Ability to pitch ideas professionally to top management including CEOs
  5. Ability to conceptualize and design marketing collaterals for events and campaigns, working along with the Comms team
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Ability to practically weigh and justify the event’s returns for the organization

Principal Accountabilities:

Event Management & Fundraising
  1. Acquisition of Sponsors for the SNOW Gala Auctions
  2. Management and Execution of SNOW Gala Dinner
    a. Work well with event partners
    b. Strategize direction and create unique strengths of the event
    c. Preparation and logistics planning
  3. Conceptualization and execution of fringe fundraising activities with individuals and organizations
  4. Develop new and sustainable fundraising initiatives.

Corporate and Individual Memberships & Partnerships
  1. Identify fundraising opportunities for collaboration and networking
  2. Build and match programs that align with corporate CSR initiatives and UN Women’s Mission
  3. Planning, donor management and coordination with various internal departments
  4. Manage contacts through CRM software; ensure updation and take ownership of the process

Monthly Donor Program
  1. Plan and build a sustainable and comprehensive monthly donor program
  2. Identify targeted donor segments which would be most receptive to monthly donors and gender
    equality
  3. Identify and execute marketing plans across private, corporate and public donors
  4. Work with internal departments to strengthen the monthly donor program

Academic requirement:

The Singapore Committee for UN Women is a self-funded non-profit organisation working towards women’s empowerment and gender equality. The organisation supports the general mission of UN Women by raising awareness and funding for Ending Violence Against Women, Economic Empowerment, and Governance and Leadership Programmes in Singapore and the region.
Established in 1997, the organisation originally functioned as a National Committee of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM). In July 2010, the United Nations General Assembly created UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. As part of this process, UNIFEM merged with other women’s entities under the United Nations to form UN Women, bringing together resources and mandates for greater impact.

Reports to: Director, Operations

Job Description:
To take lead and responsibility for raising awareness and advocacy as per the organisation’s mandate and to engage members of the community through initiatives, events and activities related to ending violence against women, economic empowerment and promoting leadership and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Education Initiatives
  • Manage and be responsible for the Public Education team
  • Develop, plan and coordinate all public education events and activities, logistics and implementation and resource allocation, including budget planning
  • Conduct feasibility studies before a proposed event / project is implemented
  • Consolidate event feedback to assess process efficiencies and optimal use of resources
  • Produce reports with key attributes to assess budget, reach and impact
  • Present the report findings to the Board as and when necessary
  • Recruit, manage and train volunteers where required
  • Oversee and support the Youth Team

Partnerships
  • Maintain and nurture excellent relationship management with existing partners and key stakeholders.
  • Explore and grow new partnerships to promote and improve all public education activities
  • Develop grant proposals and actively seek / engage on funding opportunities to sustain public education initiatives

Communications and CRM
  • Maintain and ensure an updated list of all the contacts for partners, sponsors, vendors and service providers to enable import into the CRM database for ready access when required
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop the marketing collaterals for the events and assist with social media outreach
  • Maintain clear channels of communication within the team and the organisation

We are looking for individuals with the following:
