Reports to Chief Executive Officer
The Events and Fundraising coordinator will conceptualise and implement fundraising activities to
reach the set fundraising goal on a yearly basis, and to establish a strong base of individual and
corporate support for Cycling Without Age Singapore.
In the long-term, there is a need to put in place strategies, infrastructure and processes for sustainable
fundraising to support the sustained operations of Cycling Without Age Singapore.
The Events and Fundraising coordinator will perform a variety of tasks, such as (pro-)actively
approaching corporates and organizations for CSR and sponsorship opportunities, and following
through with the coordination and setup of these events.
The exact scope of the job will be discussed in conjunction with and overseen by the Manager PR &
Communications together with the CEO. The execution of the events will take place in collaboration
with the whole CWAS team.
Duties and responsibilities
To create a fund raising plan that evaluates opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis, which include:
a. Annual calendar of fundraising activity
b. Individual cultivation and stewardship plans for high level donors
c. End of year annual appeal
a. Event management and production services as needed, to include:
i. Corporate CSR activities
ii. Service activities with charity partners
iii. Fundraising events
Long-term goal: to professionalize the organization’s fundraising, including donor management,
communications and engagement with the corporate sector, and to put a formal development
infrastructure in place to support the professionalization
Data Analysis and Recommendations
a. Data and donor analysis
b. Recommendations for ongoing data management
c. Implementation of new donor database (Salesforce)
d. Data management manual, to include gift entry policies and procedures
a. Review current corporate partners and prospects and their CSR activities
b. Corporate development strategy
- Knowledge of the Singapore fundraising market
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter
- Strong writing, editing, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
- Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
- Superior project management and time management skills
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach and hands-on/ can- do mentality
Work hours will be mainly during weekdays, Some activities or events will be held in the evening or weekends and an ability and flexibility to work at these times is required in this role.
Please note that all work requests will be consistent with Singapore Law and the terms of your Employment contract.
Within the project you will work with youth and seniors, as some of them come from difficult backgrounds, this can be an emotional burden.
There are no specific physical requirements for this job. It is highly recommended that you are also
trained as a trishawpilot to be able to support the CSR and fundraising events.
