
The aim of annual events (e.g. Children's Camp, Family Day, Children's Day, Annual Family Retreat) is to strengthen the emotional well-being and enhance the social interactive skills of children with cancer and promote family togetherness.
Requirements of an Event Volunteer
Either be part of the Planning Committee of an event, where you will be required to brainstorm on programme ideas, plan and implement the detailed activities and effectively, with the supervision of the CCF staff in charge of the event and ensuring that CCF's objectives for the particular event are met;
Or participate on the day of the event itself (e.g. as a Group Leader, Befriender, etc) where you will be required to attend a volunteers' briefing prior to the day of the event.
• 18 years old and above
• Able to handle oneself in a mature and professional manner
• Enjoy conducting activities for children/family
Commitment
For Planning Committees, able to commit for the entire period of the event of at least three to six months.
For on the day volunteers, able to attend the briefing and on day of event.
