Location: Islandwise
Time Commitment: Ad-Hoc
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is a voluntary welfare organisation. Our vision is “Giving Life & Hope through affordable, sustainable & quality renal care and education & prevention of kidney disease in partnership with the community”.
As the largest dialysis provider, NKF is currently supporting over 3,200 kidney patients and providing quality renal care to about 90% of the Nation’s needy haemodialysis patients at our 28 dialysis centres.
NKF’s volunteer programme - Circle of Hearts - inspires kidney patients to rise above their adversities so that they can lead a better quality of life. Its various meaningful activities facilitate their healing process and help them cope better with their long-term illness.
Volunteers are welcome to come in groups to plan and carry out fun and interactive sessions at the dialysis centre(s) to engage the patients while they are on their dialysis treatment, which lasts for approximately 4 hours each session. Ideas include games and performances. Volunteers are welcome to come up with their initiatives and plan the programme for a fun-filled day!
Commitment: Ad-hoc / Monthly (any day except Sundays)
Location: Dialysis Centres (DCs), islandwide
Time: 8am - 10am / 1pm - 3pm
